Honey benefits the skin in so many ways and is nourishing to the lips, hands, and feet. Here are a few recipes for you to try!

Honey Lip Scrub

Dryness and flakiness can result from cold weather, medications, dehydration, and lipsticks, to name a few. And to say chapped lips are miserable is an understatement. To make your lips soft and healthy-looking, you need to gently exfoliate the dry skin away and moisturize. A lip scrub is a fantastic way to do that!

You will need:
Small container
3 1/2 T Brown sugar
1 T Natural raw honey
2 T Grapeseed or olive oil

In a small bowl, combine the ingredients with a fork until they’re uniformly mixed. Next, wipe a swatch on the back of your hand to test the consistency. You might want to add a bit more brown sugar if you find it too runny, but this a recipe that allows for a bit of flexibility to suit your preferences. Put it in a small container like a Mason jar or empty lip balm tins, and apply as needed. Keep your lips moisturized with our Beeswax Lip Balm!

Honey Hand Scrub

We keep a little Mason jar of this by every sink to make it easy to keep hands soft. We added lemon essential oils to the one in the kitchen, which is an efficient way to remove onion and garlic smells. The fresh herbs are optional, and But you can use any essential oil you love!

You will need:
Small jars
2 T Natural raw honey
1/2 Cup Pink Himalayan sea salt
1/2 Cup Sugar
1-2 tsp Fresh herbs (if you have them!)
10-20 drops Essential oils

Add the ingredients to a small bowl and mix thoroughly with a fork or whisk. Adjust the essential oils to your strength preference, and when you’re satisfied, add the scrub to the jars. Place them at each sink with a tiny spoon, and use a small scoop after you’ve cleansed your hands.

Honey Foot Scrub

Pamper your dry feet with a honey foot scrub! This feels amazing when you’re massaging your skin, and after you rinse away the scrub, you’re left with smooth, moisturized feet. Epsom salts are known for their ability to soothe sore, tired muscles. We recommend peppermint, which not only smells great, but it has a soothing tingle, too. But tea tree, rosemary, lavender, and eucalyptus are also wonderful.

You will need:
Small jars
1/2 Cup Epsom salts
1/2 Cup Himalayan sea salts
1/2 Cup Grapeseed, apricot, or olive oil
3 T Natural raw honey
10-20 drops Essential oils

Mix the ingredients in a bowl until everything is uniform and you’re happy with the consistency. Add essential oils to suit your preference, and seal the jars. When you’re ready to use the scrub, fill a large bowl with warm water and soak your feet for 5-10 minutes to loosen dead skin cells. Next, use about 1/4 cup of the scrub to massage your feet. Return your feet to the water and let them soak until the water is lukewarm. Use a good moisturizer, put on some warm socks, and relax!
